[…] Bidart’s idiosyncratic appropriation of the young Dante, as opposed to the Dante-versus-Petrarch-based interpretation of Italian poets, is peculiar but by no means as exceptional in the American panorama as it might at first appear. Other gay American poets whom I considered for my anthology also treat Dante as a model: Robert Duncan, J. D. McClatchy, and James Merrill. They even wrote significant essays on Dante, now collected in a useful anthology edited by Peter Hawkins and Rachel Jacoff. In this essay I will attempt to investigate, however rapidly, the grounds on which Dante may own become so inherent for such poets. To be sure, the Dantism of these gay American poets may be viewed as a particular moment of the well-established American interest in Dante which goes as far back as Emerson and Longfellow and had its peak in Pound and Eliot. Anyone else hoping Dante and Nero end up being love-related with each other?
Watching the trailers I got a hint of built up lust inside of Nero. He talks to Dante like he wants to be claimed by him.

I would be so happy if Devil May Cry delves into having Dante become bisexual/gay. It's a dream I've always had since I played the first one.

I'm hoping him and Nero have many one on one talks, and kiss in DMC 5. With the steady progress being made in gaming with gay characters, I'm hoping Capcom can join in on this. I want to watch two hot devil boys together.

Anyone else hope for a gay relationship between Dante and Nero?

This article for Fast X contains spoilers. Drive with caution!

The promotional material for Fast X (or Fast and Furious 10) did hint at Dante Reyes being a bit “fruity” (for lack of a better word). So, I was looking forward to seeing if Momoa’s portrayal of such a “feminine” character was going to be used to crack jokes at the character’s expense or if Dante was indeed going to be treated as a major villain for the (as of now) ultimate chapter of the franchise.

After viewing the film, I have to share that Momoa’s portrayal of Dante Reyes left me with complicated emotions. Having an actor like Momoa behave in a “feminine” way to make the audience laugh (to be straightforward, I laughed, too) was a deliberate creative selection. However, at the identical time, there wasn’t a single moment where Dante wasn’t presented as an actual threat to Dom Torretto (Vin Diesel) and his ever-expanding fa
