The headline in Christianity the other time was that Ray Boltz is gay!! Ray Boltz was a contemporary Christian music singer-songwriter who retired from the Music industry in 2004. In a statement on Ray's website he says "I believed that if people knew who I really was, I would never be accepted." Ray was married to his wife Carol for over 30 years when he 'came out' to her in December 2004. In the last rare years Ray start a church that supported his lifestyle and in the last week he decided to approach out of retirement and out of the closet. Ray announced he was giving some concerts at two Metropolitan Community Churches; the proceeds would proceed to benefit the new direction of his musical career (not sure what that means); and that he was homosexual.
"This is what it really comes down to," he says. "If this is the way God made me, then this is the way I'm going to live. It's not like God made me this way and he'll deliver me to hell if I am who he created me to be … I really feel closer to God because I no longer dislike myself."
So, Christian brothers and sisters, how should we react to this?
How Carol Boltz's Life Changed Since Ray Came Out
Carol and Ray are still friends to this day. Her last entry on her blog was dated May 10, 2014. She is active on social media and remains friends with her ex-husband.
Since 2004, when Ray Boltz came out to his wife Carol and their four children, Carol has shown herself to be a woman of extraordinary strength and courage.
Any husband or wife who finds out their spouse is gay, will undoubtedly face a variety of frustrating situations and want many questions answered. However, what has made Carol’s journey stand out from so many others is the fact that she continues to stand beside and support her former husband.
What allows Carol to remain positive in a situation many spouses would easily become bitter? There are several factors. But in short, it is her faith in Christ. Carol grew up in Indiana with her mother, father, and three other siblings. For most of her animation, Carol happily attended a Methodist Church.
“I loved church,” Carol said with a great amount of passion. “I loved singing the hymns and going to Sunday School. I would even bogus being sick so I could stay home and read Bible story books.”

This week, Ray Boltz, went public about being gay. Boltz, a CCM recording creator, is best known for his hit single, “Thank you”. Boltz, never went public until now stating on his website, if people “knew who I really was, I would never be accepted.”

@Lars – It IS gloomy if he’s got a family and children, he’s divorced his wife.
I don’t care whether you’re male lover or not, divorce is something God doesn’t accept of, it’s equivalent of leaving a widow and orphans is it not?
Forget being gay, does God really want Christians to divorce? No, no, no and no! God has told us men to treat our wives love he treats the church. God likens his people to a bride. He told a prophet to marry a prostitute to signify this fact!
