General Hospital’s Kate Mansi (Kristina) recently tied the knot with producer Matt McInnis — and boy, did they own a major surprise in store for their guests.
It all started with the big date… Last month, Mansi posted a series of black and white pics with McInnis and stated, “Is it July yet? Can’t stay to marry you.”
Given the couple got engaged on July 3, 2024, her family and friends didn’t think otherwise and planned to attend their wedding this coming July. However, People got the exclusive scoop on what really went down when everyone showed up for what they thought had been an engagement party for the couple.
Almost a year ago, Mansi happily announced her engagement to McInnis, showing off her gorgeous diamond ring after he surprised her with a romantic and low-key proposal in their home on July 3, 2024. The couple had been serious since the previous summer, sharing photos on social media of their African safari and a attend to his family on the East Coast. "No one makes me snicker like you," she shared in another post. The pair is already the proud parents of an adorable tiny fur baby, a doodle named Stanley.
This is the second marriage for Mansi, who previously tied the knot in an intimate ceremony during the Covid lockdown. While they had originally planned to hold a larger celebration of the union with family and friends, that never came to pass, and Mansi’s world was rocked when her husband asked for a divorce. "Not only was I grieving the marriage I thought I was going to have, but the future that I thought I was going to have," the actress confessed during a 2023 episode of State of Mind, the YouTube series hosted by her TV father, Maurice Benard (Sonny).
