What Makes St. Petersburg LGBTQ-Friendly?
St. Petersburg has consistently gotten perfect scores on the Municipal Equality Index since 2014, which scores cities and municipalities across the US on the inclusivity and nondiscriminatory nature of its laws and services. It’s hard to pinpoint the best part of St. Pete, it’s close to the beach, it has an legendary downtown, tons of local LGBTQ bars, clubs, and boutiques. We decided to stay for a month in the Historic Uptown area of St. Pete. We were a 5-minute walk from several local coffee shops, restaurants, and parks.
